She is not acting as your midwife, she does not diagnose or prescribe, she does not manage your pregnancy and she does not attend births through this business. Purchasing a program, reading this site, emailing us or using the chat assistant does not create a provider and patient relationship.
Always defer to your own licensed provider
Every pregnancy is different. Information that is broadly accurate may be wrong for your specific situation. Discuss anything you learn here with the physician, midwife or nurse practitioner responsible for your care before acting on it.
Rules and options differ by state
Midwifery licensure, birth center availability, hospital policy and insurance coverage vary from state to state. We teach you how to verify what applies where you live. We do not assert what is legal, licensed or covered in your state, and nothing here should be read as a statement of the law in your jurisdiction.
The chat assistant is software
The assistant on this site is an AI system. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It is not a midwife, it has no access to your medical record and its answers are general education only.
Emergencies
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. Signs that warrant immediate contact with your provider include heavy bleeding, severe headache, vision changes, reduced fetal movement, fever, or fluid leaking before term. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
